Good Afternoon (or top of the mornin’ to ya- Happy St. Patrick’s Day),
I hope you’re enjoying this sunny day! This is Mrs. Gold with your Weekend Update. I have 4 important announcements.
#1- Next week is Conference Week! That means that every day is a minimum day. As a reminder K-3 begin at 7:50 and 4-5 begin at their usual time, 7:40. Everyone dismisses at 12:47.
The reason that we get out early is to allow time for you to meet with your child’s teacher to review their 2nd Trimester report card and make a plan for success for the last trimester of the school year. If you have not made a conference appointment, please do so by calling or emailing your child’s teacher (or using the Dojo or Bloomz app if available). Your input and support with your child’s learning goals are critical as we head toward the end of this school year.
#2- A huge thank you to our PTO and every parent who helped with our Shamrock-a-thon on Friday. If you donated snacks or water, got pledges, made a pledge, or were able to come and mark laps and cheer students on, we are so very grateful. All sponsorship money is due on Monday, and every dollar earned goes straight to your child’s classroom for fun things like rewards, incentives, and field trips.
#3- These last 2 announcements are all about sports. First, congratulations on a winning season for our boys and girls 4-5 basketball teams. Our boys tied for 1st place in the league. Thank you to our coaches Mr. and Mrs. Bauder (boys) and Ms. Taylor (girls). Please return your washed uniforms on Monday. Celebratory pizza parties will be held on Thursday for the girls and Friday for the boys. Your returned uniforms will be your ticket to the luncheon.
#4- Last, it’s time for spring sports. Softball permission slips are due at or before the first day of tryouts, Tuesday 3/19th 2:15-3:30. Flag football permission slips are due by Friday the 22nd at the end of the school day. Thank you to our new coaches, Ms. Burgess (softball) and Mrs. Tegerstrand (flag football).
I hope to see you when you’re on campus for conferences,
Mrs. Gold
