This is Mrs. Gold with your Weekly Update.
I have just 4 things to share with you. First, thank you to everyone who supported our fundraiser by selling cookie dough and Believe catalog items. All order forms and collected money were due Friday. If you forgot on Friday, please bring it on Monday. Our PTO volunteers will be processing your sales this week and we will soon be announcing who gets to slime the principal!
Second, our school must have a Site Council. Each year we nominate and elect parents, certificated staff, and classified staff to serve on the council. They advise the school on matters such as our yearly Single Plan for School Improvement and the spending of our Title 1 dollars. Please click the link in the email version of this call or go to our website or Facebook page to nominate yourself or another parent to serve on the Site Council for 2023/24. We currently have 3 brave parents who have volunteered, and we are looking for others. Just fill out the nomination form and consider coming to our meeting on Tuesday the 26th at 2 p.m. in the library. Then vote for these nominated parents in the ballot which will come out in our October Tiger Talk.
Third, Cross Country racing continues this week with whole team practice on Wednesday the 27th from 2-2:45 and a race on Thursday at Boulder Creek. Runners be there at 2:45 and make sure you bring water to stay hydrated.
Last but not least, our first awards assembly will be on Friday, September 29th at 12:45 in the gym. We will be honoring September’s Leaders. If your child is being honored, his or her teacher will reach out to you by email, DOJO/Bloomz, or a good old-fashioned note.
