Good Afternoon, Shasta Meadows,
This is Mrs. Gold with your weekly update. Today, I have 5 things to share with you.
Before I get started on the list, I want to thank everyone for coming to our Open House on Wednesday. We had an amazing turnout. It was an evening of joy and celebration sharing your children’s hard work and creativity with you.
First, Monday the 23rd we will be having our May Awards: 3rd and 4th grade will be in the gym at 8:15 and K-2 will be there at 12:00. Normally, teachers reach out to the parents of students who are receiving awards, so look at your Bloomz, Dojo, and email messages and in backpacks.
Second, summer school, also known as Power Scholars is filling up fast. If your child’s teacher reached out to you and you are planning to enroll, please know that we are about to open up the registration to another round of invitees. If you want a spot, please go to the website and register. If you are having trouble, please call our office and we can walk you through a few of the common glitches we are seeing that have been preventing folks from successfully registering. We are here to help.
Third, the 5th grade will be on a field trip to Science Camp on Monday. Students will not return until 4:45 pm, so do not expect them home on the bus at the end of the school day. Please be on time at 4:45 here at the school to pick them up from their tired and weary teachers.
Fourth, our girls’ softball team has their last 2 games this week: Tuesday they play at Rother and Wednesday, they play their last game here at home.
Fifth, Friday, the 24th both Kindergarten and 2nd-grade students have field trips. Be sure to check teacher newsletters to be prepared for those.
Thank you and have a great evening.
