Principal's Communication

Happy Sunday, Families,
This is Mrs. Gold with the last weekend update of the school year.  It’s been another wild ride, but I’m so glad we were on it together!  This week I have 4 very important things to tell you:
#1- This last week of school both Monday and Friday are minimum days.  Please set reminders to drop off and pick up at the minimum day times on both of those days.
#2- We have 40 yearbooks available for purchase.  They are $15 each and you must bring cash only/exact change to the office.  They will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and ALL yearbooks will be distributed on Friday, June 10th.  So, you will be given a receipt for your cash purchase and your name will be added to a list, but you will not receive the yearbook until they are distributed on Friday.
#3- We are excited to once again be able to host our annual Sports Day on Wednesday the 8th from 8:15 am to 10:45 am.  If you have volunteered, please be sure you’ve made arrangements to be cleared as a volunteer.  If you need a Covid test, our office will provide you with one for no cost, but please make arrangements to be early for your volunteer shift as the test takes about 15 minutes to complete, plus we may have several volunteers needing to be tested.  You can also take a test at home and show proof of results to our office staff.  We appreciate you so much!  This event takes many helping hands.  If you have not told your child’s teacher that you would like to volunteer, please connect with them and we will find a place for you.  All are welcome and appreciated.  
#4- Friday the 10th at 8:30 we will have our end-of-the-year assembly in the gym with our Old Timers awards for children at SM since kindergarten and our annual end of the year movie.  Parents are absolutely welcome!
#5- That’s it for this year.  I am once again honored to have served as your principal.  I hope everyone has a fantastic summer.  We will be getting ready for you and can’t wait to see you again on August 17th for our first day of the 22/23 school year.  Please remember that all registration takes place online @EESD.net and that all children who turn 4 before August 17th of 2022 are welcome to enroll.
